"THE GLUTEN-FREE OVEN" is a magical oven that makes gluten-free food taste good! Whether Celiac, gluten sensitive or not, the "Gluten-Free Oven" educates and delights viewers with delicious recipes while inspiring quality time in the kitchen. Music and dance with an upbeat host and dynamic supporting characters are combined with a bit of magic. This interactive, online cooking show is intended to entertain and educate the public on the challenges of being Celiac and gluten-sensitive, while bringing family and community together.
An introductory pitch piece has been made possible through KoKreative's collaboration with students in the NSCC Truro Campus Digital Animation Program, through a Capstone initiative. This gifted team,The Enchanting Kangaroos, worked closely with KoKreative to bring "The Gluten-Free Oven" concept to life.
THE ENCHANTING KANGAROOS
Students in the Digital Animation Program at the Nova Scotia Community College (NSCC) Truro Campus participate in what is call a Capstone Project. The Capstone is a group project, usually undertaken with an industry partner. Capstone projects involve a multifaceted assignment and serve as a culminating academic and intellectual experience for participants. Students showcase their artistic talents and come away from the experience with a better understanding of production requirements and time constraints. It has been an honour to work with The Enchanting Kangaroos and with NSCC faculty. We are thrilled with the results!
